Out of Eroticism I(-관능의 시각을 벗어난 누드-)

회화의 황금시대에 누드화는 가장 위대한 작품들에 영감을 주었다. 사진도 예외는 아니어서 1939년 사진의 탄생으로 소위 예술적 미학의 관점에서 촬영한 누드사진은 회화의 한계를 결코 넘지 못했다.20세기 후반에 들어서면서 누드사진은 급변하게 되며 에로티시즘적 시각에 깊이 빠져들거나 반대로 관능적 시각을 벗어난 극단적인 자기 기술적 창작 행위에 깊이 빠져드는 양극화 현상이 일어났다. 이것은 대상물을 예리하게 묘사하는 렌즈의 특성과 표현하는 사진의 기계적 테크닉을 중시하고, 적극적으로 메커니즘의 기능을 활용하여 회화적 시각을 부정하고 사진의 본질적 특성을 살리는 다양한 시도에 몰두한다.박찬희의 작업은 후자에 속한다. 이중노출, 저속 셔터에 의한 장노출 등 사진만이 가지는 메커니즘의 특성을 마음껏 발휘하여 자신의 창작의식과 결합시킨다. 그 속에는 여성의 아름다움, 무한한 꿈, 끊기지 않는 시간의 흐름과 영속성의 연계를 통해 의식의 흐름을 조화시킨다. 이러한 갈구에 있어서는 사진적 조형미나 구성미에는 관심조차 없다. 그의 사진은 때로는 음악에 있어서 교향곡의 음율을 듣는 것과 같은 리듬감이 있다. 장노출에 의한 블러기법이 이러한 욕구를 충족시켜 준다.정지된 누드사진에 안주했던 이미지를 동적인 이미지로 바꾸어 여성성이 내재된 이미지를 조금 더 환상주의적 시각으로 추상화시킨 것이다. 모더니즘을 벗어난 초현실적인 사고가 은유적으로 내포된 그의 사진에서 쾌락적이고 관능적이며 에로스라는 의식을 벗어나 박찬희 개인만의 미의식에 의한 과감한 시도의 누드사진들이다.

Out of Eroticism I

The greatest works of art were inspired by NUDE pictures in the golden times of pictures. The photographs that were born in 1939, are no exception to this. NUDE photos were taken from the view of point of artistic esthetics, but they were not beyond the limit of pictures.Late in the 20th century, NUDE photos changed rapidly. Some photographers fell deeply into the perspective of eroticism. Others were engaged in creating their own extreme technique out of eroticism. So the phenomenon of the two extremes happened.They stress characteristics of the lens that describes objects sharply showing the mechanical technique of the photos. They use the functions of mechanism to deny the pictorial view, and make various attempts to make use of the fundamental characteristics of the photograph. Chan Hee, Park's work belongs to this latter school. She shows in her works various mechanical characteristics of photos with double-exposure, long time-exposure by using a slow shutter speed, etc.And she connects the characteristics with her own creative consciousness. In them she harmonizes the beauty of the female, the infinite dream of the female, and the endless flow of time. She doesn't care about the photographic regular beauty or its compositional beauty. Sometimes there is rhythm like listening to tones of a symphony in her photographs. Blur techniques by long time-exposure fills these desires.Changing unmoved NUDE images into moving images, she abstracts the photential and sexual images of female from the more fantastic view. In her photos, surrealistic thought getting out of modernism are involved metaphorically.
